-for Texas House
District 97-
Platform - e3
My focus as a candidate for Texas House District 97 are education, economy and equality. There is plenty of money that everyone should have the right income. I understand that many people believe that politicians are corrupt and vote based on the money they receive from their parties or organizations. As a candidate, I believe in and accountability, and I want to earn the trust of the people by fighting for their concerns. I also agree that important topics like marijuana, guns, abortion, and immigration should be voted on by the people of Texas in a fair and democratic manner.
Education
My platform aims to provide $8,000 annually to individuals who wish to pursue higher education in Texas. The inclusion of community service every semester is a great way to strengthen the communities and give back. Furthermore, my plan to offer benefits to companies that hire interns attending these institutions will not only create job opportunities but also boost the economy.
Economy
Texas' economy has been consistently strong, with a robust oil and gas industry, diverse manufacturing sector, and growing tech scene. However, there is a need to address the issue of low income. My platform is to increase the minimum wage have it increase by $1 per hour each year the economy grows. To offset the costs for small businesses, I would provide tax abatements, and companies that invest in their interns' education and hire them full-time would receive a tax deduction, incentivizing corporations to stay and invest in their well-trained employees.
Equality
Equality is a fundamental value that should be embraced by all individuals and communities. It means treating everyone with fairness, respect and dignity, regardless of their gender, race, religion, or any other characteristic. We should all strive towards creating a world where equality is not just a concept, but a reality for everyone.
